Sarah & friends

Were do I start?! As Lau mentioned in her notes Sarah, Emily, Kelly, Jenny and I have grown up together. At the age of around 12 or 13 we started our little and always eventful trips on the weekends to Victoria (ooh so far). Sar and I would usually meet Jenny at the public loos at Warwick Way and Kell at the lights on Vauxhall Bridge Road. We'd walk down to Emily's and could always rely on Kelly to do the big scream down Old Pye Street... "E-m-i-l-y"!! Em would pop her head out "I'm coming"!! We'd then start our Victoria tour with a trip to Army & Navy, The Body Shop (I was probably the only one testing out the make-up at that age) and we'd never miss Paperchase, especially when Naf Naf featured their stationery range - my fave! Me being the little rebel that I was (then) may've slipped a little pencil in my pocket to Sar's shock and horror, she would go mad! "Oh my god Aim, I can't believe you did that when I was there, and I didn't even know"! I think I got more of a kick out of Sarah's reaction more than anything. Anyway, we'd move onto Victoria Station (Mac D's didn't start selling burgers till after 11am) and get our ritual photo booth photos done, all giggling and trying to squeeze our heads into the picture! We'd end our trip at Mac D's and could not then resist taking a few plastic straws over to the candels at Westminster Cathedrial! We started going down the Andrew Club as teenagers. Sarah was always loved by everyone who met her, from the staff to new friends. Our teenage years were such a laugh, from our football playing (Sar was a great defender), staring in plays (who can forget Me and Sar as Sandy and Danny and Sarah as Ariel and not a dry eye in the house??), our trips away:- Woodrow, Holland, Paris and the South of France. All of these trips would not have been as memorable and fun if Sarah wasn't there. Skip a few years and there was Sarah, Emily, Kelly, Sorcha (remember meeting in Churchill Gardens Sorche?), Kerri (became friends at the Andrews) and me. A start to a great, fun and long lasting friendship between us all. Who can forget our first girls holiday away to Magaluf, they were then followed on by other holidays, days/nights and weeks staying at Kerri's mums (Kerri's mum would be in bed while we were having parties in her room!), the Bal, Sorcha's house, my house, nights out to clubs all with lots of great memories. I don't think I can put into words of how we miss Sarah and how much of a loyal, kind, trustworthy and fun friend she was to all of us. We know that our group of friends will never be the same without Sarah but I know that we will talk about her and laugh (and cry) about the great memories she gave us forever. I'm sure you will hear lots of other funny times with our group of friends when the girls or others start writing a few notes! I know my life will never be as fulfilled as it once was but I will keep the memory of my beautiful cousin and best friend alive until I meet her again. Miss you always Sar, Love Amy xx
